Who should attend:

Outline/Objectives:
This course is strongly recommended for all new and newish governors to help them understand the role, responsibility and expectations of Governors.

Current Governors should bring with them a copy of their:

  • Self-Evaluation Form (SEF)/School Development Plan (SDP)
  • Headteacher’s Report
  • Governance Action Plan
  • School's latest Ofsted Report

If you have been invited to this course as an aspiring governor, please only attend part 1 as part two will not be relevant to you until you are appointed by a governing board.

Format: This is a remote training session
You should receive the log-in details in your booking confirmation and they are sent again the day before the session.  Please note that the office closes at 5.15pm so please contact us before then if you need these re-sent.
