Safeguarding Discussion Forum: Online Safety

Who should attend:

The Safeguarding Forum provides an opportunity for Governors to discuss issues related to safeguarding and the ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ statutory guidance, to which schools must have regard when carrying out their duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. It’s a platform for discussing implications relating to the guidance and arising issues. You are invited to submit questions/suggested topics prior to the session.

This time round, one of the focuses will be online safety and the Governors role in ensuring online safety measures are in place. Understand your role in keeping pupils safe online and appropriately challenge and monitor your school’s internet policies and practices.
